Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria has officially announced the commencement of the 2026/2027 Post UTME and Direct Entry (DE) Online Screening Exercise. All candidates who selected ABU as their first-choice institution and meet the admission requirements are expected to complete the screening registration within the approved period.

ABU 2026/2027 Post UTME/DE Screening Registration
The management of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has announced that the 2026/2027 UTME and Direct Entry Screening registration will begin on Monday, 6th July 2026.
All eligible candidates are advised to register online through the university portal.
Eligibility for ABU Screening
To qualify for the screening exercise:
UTME Candidates
Must have chosen Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria as their preferred institution.
Must score 180 or above in the 2026 UTME.
Direct Entry (DE) Candidates
All Direct Entry applicants are required to register and pay the screening fee.
ABU Screening Registration Fee
The screening registration fee is:
₦2,000 (Two Thousand Naira) only
Candidates should pay the fee through the official ABU portal.
How to Register for ABU Post UTME/DE Screening
Follow these steps:
Visit the ABU Portal.
Log in using your admission details.
Select the 2026/2027 UTME/DE Screening Registration.
Pay the screening fee of ₦2,000.
Complete the online registration form.
Upload all required documents.
Submit your application and print your registration slip.
Payment Method
Candidates can pay the screening fee by:
ATM/Debit Card (online payment)
Printing the payment slip and paying at any commercial bank in Nigeria.
Note: You do not need to travel to Zaria before making payment.

Applicants are expected to upload clear scanned copies of:
2026 JAMB Result Slip
O'Level Result(s) (Maximum of two sittings)
A'Level Certificate (Direct Entry candidates)
Birth Certificate
National Identification Number (NIN)
Certificate of Indigene (where applicable)
Important Information for UTME Candidates
Candidates should:
Enter the grades of five relevant O'Level subjects.
Ensure all information provided is correct.
Check the ABU Brochure to confirm the correct subject combination for their chosen course.
Correct any wrong subject combination on the JAMB Portal before completing registration.
Providing false information or uploading fake documents may lead to disqualification.
Candidates with awaiting O'Level results are advised to wait until their results are available before registering.
Important Warning
Any UTME or Direct Entry candidate who fails to register for the online screening exercise will not be considered for admission into Ahmadu Bello University for the 2026/2027 academic session.
