Bayero University Kano (BUK) Post UTME Screening Exercise 2026/2027

The management of has announced the commencement of the 2026/2027 Online Screening Exercise for candidates seeking admission through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

According to the official notice released by the Office of the Registrar, the online screening exercise will run from Friday, 19th June 2026 to Sunday, 16th August 2026.


Eligibility Requirements

To participate in the screening exercise, candidates must:

• Choose Bayero University Kano (BUK) as their First Choice Institution during JAMB registration.

• Score at least the approved cut-off mark for their chosen course.

• Upload their O'Level results on the JAMB CAPS portal.

• Complete the online screening registration before the closing date.

How to Apply for BUK Post UTME Screening 2026/2027

Step 1: Visit the BUK Portal

Go to the official BUK website and click on 2026 UTME Online Screening Exercise.

Step 2: Login

Use:

• JAMB Registration Number as Username

• UTME Aggregate Score as Password

Step 3: Update Your Profile

Fill in all required information carefully. Note that the photograph uploaded through JAMB will serve as the official identification throughout your stay at BUK.

Step 4: Generate Payment Invoice

Generate and download your Personalized Payment Invoice (PPI).

Step 5: Pay Screening Fee

Candidates are required to pay ₦2,000 screening fee.

Payment can be made through:

• Debit/Credit Card

• Internet Banking

• Commercial Banks nationwide

Step 6: Print Acknowledgement Slip

After successful payment, print your acknowledgement slip as proof of registration.

 

Important Information for Candidates

1. Candidates must upload their O'Level results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, NBAIS, or equivalent) on JAMB CAPS.

2. Candidates who fail to upload their results may not be considered for admission.

3. Submission of false information will lead to disqualification.

4. Candidates can combine a maximum of two O'Level results.

5. Blind and foreign candidates are exempted from the aptitude test but must complete online registration.

6. Candidates experiencing difficulties should contact the university through the official portal.

7. Any candidate who fails to register within the stipulated period will not be considered for admission.

The BUK 2026/2027 Online Screening Exercise closes on:

Sunday, 16th August 2026

Candidates are advised to complete their registration before the deadline to avoid missing the opportunity for admission consideration.
